Well, most of the Ubuntu users still stick with Windows just for Adobe suite or any other windows prior used to windows application software. So during the dual-boot, sometimes windows get hibernated or windows blue screen errors sometimes lead to not being able to mount the NTFS partition from Ubuntu. Personally, I always had this problem before. Since my Laptop power cells are dead already. And I have gone through so many threads on the Internet but I somehow found it hard to mount it in reading/write mode.
So, What did I do is use following command:
– sudo ntfsfix /dev/sda3
sda3 was my NTFS partition.
This command repaired my NTFS partition and then tried mounting manually and then NTFS partition got mounted in R/W mode.
